The fear that keeps people out of the chair longest is that a filler decision is irreversible. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with an enzyme, usually within a day or two, and Sloane Holloway, RN, BSN, does this several times a year, most often on work performed elsewhere. Dissolving has its own considerations and is a clinical decision rather than an undo button. But the honest headline is that this is one of the very few things in aesthetic medicine that does not have to be lived with.
