Between the first hard freeze and the February thaw, appetite goes up, movement goes down, and sleep gets strange. We see it in both clinics every year and we plan for it rather than pretending it is not happening. The winter version of a plan is a smaller plan, held longer. That is a clinical decision, not a concession.
