Why resurfacing is scheduled between November and February here
Draft body, not yet adapted
Ablative and deeper fractional resurfacing is booked from November through February at this practice, and the reason is ultraviolet exposure during healing. Skin that has been resurfaced is re-epithelialising for roughly ten days and remodelling for months afterwards, and during that period sun exposure is the main driver of uneven pigmentation, particularly in skin that pigments readily. New England winters make the avoidance realistic in a way that July does not: shorter days, lower sun angle, and a wardrobe that already covers you. This is a scheduling constraint rather than an offer, and there is nothing to book quickly for. If the winter is not workable for you, the honest answer is either to wait for the next one or to consider a lighter non-ablative approach with a shorter recovery and a smaller change per session. Both are legitimate. What is not legitimate is doing the deeper treatment in June and hoping.
Call to action. If you are considering resurfacing, the consultation happens in autumn. Ask for both plans.
